La mia opera è un’ installazione che consta di 90 sabbie da me raccolte. Sabbie di diversa provenienza, marine, lacustri, desertiche; semplicemente versate su fette di pane e poi poste su tovaglioli di lino bianco.
Ogni tovagliolo è posto in terra a formare una lunga fila che segue l’ambiente ospitante.
Mihrab ovvero miraggio è un’indicazione, una prospettiva ed allo stesso tempo è un desiderio ed una speranza da seguire.
La sabbia liquida come l’acqua, plastica come la terra, bruciante come il fuoco e leggera come l’aria rappresenta per me la natura. Le sue forme diverse sono una ricchezza, come sempre la diversità lo è. Le sue sfumature sono belle come quelle di ogni individuo e rappresentano la libertà.
Ma qui la sabbia è insieme al pane che per me rappresenta il lavorare con la natura, seguendo i suoi cicli, rispettandola ed essendo parte di una comunità.
L’equilibrio è sempre fra due contrasti e le cose più interessanti comprendono diverse sfaccettature.
Il benessere della terra nasce dalla capacità dell’uomo di mettere insieme necessità e libertà, tradizione e duttilità, lavoro e piacere.
My work is an installation that consists of 90 sands collected by me. Sands of different origins, marine, lake, desert; simply pour over slices of bread and then placed on white linen napkins.
Each napkin is placed on the ground to form a long line that follows the host environment.
Mihrab or mirage is an indication, a perspective and at the same time it is a desire and a hope to follow.
Liquid sand like water, plastic like earth, burning like fire and light like air represents nature for me. Its different forms are a wealth, as diversity always is. Its shades are as beautiful as those of any individual and represent freedom.
But here the sand is together with the bread which for me represents working with nature, following its cycles, respecting it and being part of a community.
The balance is always between two contrasts and the most interesting things include different facets.
The well-being of the earth arises from man’s ability to combine necessity and freedom, tradition and flexibility, work and pleasure.
