Per il mio progetto mi sono servito di tre grandi ideali di bellezza, adattandoli secondo quella che è la mia visione della bellezza nella contemporaneità. Per la stampa delle immagini ho scelto una carta di poco valore, e le ho messe appositamente senza cura, stropicciandole, dentro i carrelli. Quest’ultimi invece li ho verniciati d’oro, dandogli più importanza e, apparentemente, anche più valore. Sono d’impatto visivo maggiore rispetto alle stampe, elevando il contenitore sopra il contenuto. Il messaggio è semplice, l’opera è diretta e si basa su forma, armonia e colore.
For my project I made use of three main concepts of beauty, adapting them to my vision of contemporary beauty. For the three images, I deliberately chose cheap paper and purposefully crumpled them up, placing them without care inside the shopping carts. On the other hand, I spray painted the trolleys gold, elevating their importance and seemingly increasing their value. The trolleys come off with a visually stronger impact compared to the prints, putting emphasis on the container, and not its contents. The message is simple, the piece is direct and entirely based on form, harmony and color.
