Zemblanity: Effetto di tristezza dovuto ad una sfortunata scoperta casuale.
I contrasti della nostra societ‡ si assaporano per strada, passano inosservati per inerzia e sovrabbondanza, un caos che crea silenzio. Cercando d'imprimerli, di catturarli, avvicinandomi a loro per carpirli, mi ritrovo cosÏ a eseguire le stesse azioni contraddittorie. La paura e la consapevolezza di esserne parte mi avvolge. Io sono parte di quel meccanismo e non pi˘ un individuo: i neuroni specchio hanno la funzione di tendere verso l'emulazione di gesti e azioni che vediamo con i nostri occhi. Vivendo in società, quindi vedendola, io tendo ad emularne i movimenti. In particolare in quella odierna, dove l'immagine impera indisturbata sulla parola, i nostri occhi sono vittime di meccanismi spesso contraddittori fra loro, che agiscono sulla nostra quotidianità. E cosÏ accade che, cercando di osservare questa società bulimica, questa mi aggredisca, lasciandomi completamente cieco.
Zemblanity: the sense of sadness that comes after an unhappy discovery.
The contrasts that exist in our society are visible in everyone's daily routine; they go unseen because of passiveness and overabundance, a caos that creates silence. In trying to impress and to catch them, I try to get close to those contrasts to record them; in doing so, I fall in the same contradictory actions. Fear and consciousness envelop me. I am part of the mechanism, and not an individual anymore: the mirror neuronsí function is to draw us toward the emulation of gestures and actions that we see with our eyes. Because I live into the society, and I observe it, I tend to copy its movements. Especially in the modern society, where the image is dominant on the word, our eyes are the victims of mechanisms that often contradict themselves, and they act on our daily routine. What happens is that in trying to observe this bulimic society, I get attacked by it and left completely blind.
