La nostra società é caratterizzata da un grosso conflitto legato ai fenomeni migratori. La discussione all'interno dei Paesi Occidentali verte su come ripensare e riformare i confini dei nostri paesi, o meglio come "controllare gli esseri umani". Ho realizzato un'installazione che obbliga lo spettatore ad attraversarla, utilizzando la formula frattali della curva di Koch, dove le linee convergono ad un punto limite nello spazio delle curve continue. La linea, composta di ferro e luci Led, traccia una superficie a forma di stella. La luce aumenta il paradosso tra lo spazio e il contrasto concettuale con l'oscurità e luce. Scheda Tecnica: la Curva di Koch è una struttura in ferro alta 3,15 mt per 2,85 mt di larghezza. Composta da n.48 pezzi di quadrelli di ferro da 8 mm per 30 cm di lunghezza saldati tra loro con angoli da 60°e 120°. La struttura è illuminata internamente con n.3 strisce di LED di luce bianco naturale per un totale di 15 mt. Collegato ad un trasformatore da 12 V. La struttura è ancorata al soffitto con del fil di ferro e poggiata al pavimento nella parte inferiore. La Curva di Koch è fruibile dal pubblico che può attraversarla.
Our society is defined by a huge conflict about migratory phenomena. The discussion in the Western Countries focuses on how to rethink and reform the borders of our countries, or to explain it better, on how "to control people". Using the shape of the Koch Snowflake, I have built an installation which forces the spectators to pass through it, where lines converge a certain point in space with continuous curves. The line is composed of iron and LED strips tracing a surface in the shape of a star. The light brings about the paradox between space and the conceptual contrast of darkness and light. Technical Chart: Koch Snowflake is an iron structure 3,15 m high and 2,85 m wide. Composed of n.48 pieces of square iron rods by 8 mm and 30 cm in length welded amongst with angles of 60° and 120°. The structure is internally illuminated with n.3 LED strips emitting natural white light for a total measure of 15m. Connected to a transformer of 12 V. The structure is anchored to the ceiling with iron wires and rests on the floor on its lower part. Koch Snowflake is usable by the public who can pass through it.
